Create - inspiration for double page layouts.

Looking back at some of the layouts created over the last couple of months and realizing that i have not blogged about them all. This layout was one i did inspired by the stunning sketches of the Create Magazine and Scrapbook Generation team - Allison and Debbie. I have always loved sketches - a starting point for inspiration to help us create beautiful layouts using our everyday memories as visuals. This layout was part of a challenge to alter Project Life style cards - I used the card cut from a sheet of cards and added sewing to the lettering. This is a quick and easy way to add dimension, colour and texture - to spice up those cards and make them really fun and interactive.
I used a paper piercer to make the holes in the card following the design of the words and then used a matching colour thread to sew the wording.
On my background I added some stenciling, stamping and ink splats.
embosing using my cuttlebug and an embossing folder added some more texture to this layout.
So if you are feeling inspired and looking for even more inspiration, head on over to the Scrapbook Generation website and read the free online magazine filled with loads of inspiration with the most talented girls designing just for your viewing pleasure.
