it's been a while since i have blogged. here in South Africa April is filled with holidays and Easter vacation and i took some time to just chill and sort and clean and renovate. we are in month 4 of renovating and i have just about had enough. with a very very tight budget things get done when they get done...and that is so slow! anyways at least the tiles are done and today we hung the light fittings (the power still needs to be connected). i am waiting for the blind to be custom made for the window, then i can paint and then it's the cupboard doors and the floor. grrrr. i have learned to be patient even when making coffee through clouds of dust and mortar. but thankfully the scrapping continues. over at scrapbook challenges we have a new sketch by our very own Jolanda! i loved it and created this layout below....not my usual style but love it! i was playing around in paint shop pro and bumped up colours and played with effects on my photo.

for my title i used some Webster's pages letter stickers. love these - they are so versatile and fun! a layer of dimensional glaze adds some personality to them. the new Prima blooms are simply stunning!

white paint splats on my green background (ancient from making memories) makes for some fun accents. my little butterflies are dressed up with purple french knots and the purple repeated in the diamante.
