this is was the first time i took part in the annual Christmas Chunky book swap hosted by Angella from our stamping group. The theme was a vintage Christmas so only muted and toned down colours. I liked it!
This is my front page. the base paper was printed from a printable CD and then stamped onto with my Artistic Outpost Santa in brown Versafine. The star is a coloured tag using my distress inks and also stamped with Artistic Outpost and then punched. The ribbon down the side reads...made especially for you.
the back page is a bit more vintage than it looks on the photo. The printed paper is vintage Christmas wrapping paper saved and then coloured with my distress inks. The green paper is 7Gypsies with a red punched scalloped border and a sentiment that reads...Christmas love with all the trimmings. a single diamante finishes it off. Thanks Angella for putting together this gem and all your hard work binding!

And here’s a tip….if by any chance you don’t have a black archival ink pad around to remove some of the colour off the top of your letters….use black STAZON! It worked just as well. I simply rubbed my ink pad across the raised parts and then took a baby wipe and rubbed.

yes i know its missing the flower...couldn't quite decide what to do so it will be added later. the frames are from Prima and the sentiment by Artistic Outpost
i loved the flourish on the tag and those splats in green patina...
the alcohol colours came out quite faded -a bit more than intended but still liked the look.
this house pin is a really handmade nightmare....but i love it! the door stamp and sentiment is by Artistic Outpost - love it!!
my memory capsule is recycled packaging from the washers...i simply cut around the circle shape to fit into my bookplate and then filled it with glitter as i couldn't find my glass shards..yes i actually have some of those somewhere
i love how the copper Lumiere paint resisted...but do not quite like the tag overall. i replaced the gold strips at the top and bottom with gold leaving
another PSX stamp....the truck was one of my favourites...just love the look of it - it could be parked right outside my door
another old favourite from PSX...Santa - he has such a pretty smile...don't think he would scare off the kids. the holly and berries on his hat was stamped a second time and raised for dimension I used ordinary white acrylic paint for my resist and it worked perfectly...love the effect
