yesterday was a sad day - but filled with joy! My dear friend Kathi's mom passed away last night - peacefully - and that's what matters! my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Kath!

this card i made for her...now i am not known for my pretty and cutesy cards - but somehow this came to be and I do like it! the angel stamp is a favourite for sympathy cards - she does look so peaceful - and with her wings filled with glitter she is adorable.

do you still remember the days before Prima...when we only had these little paper roses from India? am well yeah i still do have some.

sketch 212...wow! this week's sketch over at scrapbook challenges was an easy one for me - i think mostly because I knew what paper I wanted to use along with some goodies that were starting to gather dust on my table from other projects.

below is what I did with the sketch.
i did a whole bunch of layering with patterned paper. my favourites
being the new Girls' Paperie and red 7gypsies.

a die-cut element that was part of another project but ended up being too small

this week over at scrap and stamp Saturday the challenge is to do a double page layout and use stamping on it somewhere. remember to check out the other design team member's blogs to see what they have come up with this week.
this layout is based on a sketch from scrapbook challenges - i made the single page version and then this double page layout as well. I love how it turned out in the end - of course i did use some of my favourite papers like Webster's pages and jillybean soup.

my layout is a simple one this week. the image is really bad...sorry i know - i should know by now that this particular colour card stock is really bad to photograph and then do a colour correction. i did however like how the real thing turned out...quiet and peaceful
