vintage tag card.

found these stunning tags at tattered vintage this week - aren't they just gorgeous.
Made a few quick cards to send to some people...i am so way behind on sending cards it's unbelievable. anyhow...hopefully after this month things will settle back into some kind of normal routine. Have a wonderful week filled with creativity!

supplies: cardstock by Bazzill Basics. Patterned paper by Making Memories.
Other pearls and ribbon.

la femme chunky book pages.

Benice hosted a chunky book swap with the theme La Femme Mystique...this little baby was part four of four with the theme Dressmakers dummies. These are my pages and how i interpreted it...
The front page consists of dressmakers pattern adhered to white card stock and the dummy stamped onto it. I stamped the dummy a second time and raised the top part only so i could add the tag and bow. A glass button and piece of measuring tape finishes it off.

For the back page I used the same coloured patterned paper with writing and buttons on - both from K&Co. These were sandwiched with a piece of lace and the stamped dummy.
Again i stamped the dummy a second time onto yellow patterned paper and cut the bodice part out adhered it to the original stamped image and finished it off with 3 diamante.
I used dressmakers pattern to make the paper rosette, added a press stud to the top of the dummy and a button.

have a wonderful day!

smooch + mask = card.

while playing around with my smooch spritz and some masks...this is what happened. i love when things take a turn for what seems like a disaster and then turns out to be a pretty cool technique. The piece of patterned paper, ribbon and embellishments were also some stuff from my table and just happened to find their way onto the card.

the mask is by enmarc ...

folded ribbon and button detail...

and some stamping of course...

sketch challenge.

this week at scrap and stamp Saturday the challenge was to use a supplied sketch. I changed the single page layout into a double by simply stretching my sketch

by the way...these are my new favourite colours to work with...red, black,
khaki green and yellow

I used some of 7Gypsies' texture rub-ons...love them lately

my stamping part was done with Tim Holtz stamps...and also a favourite saying...

used my smooch spritz for fun...

and some old K&Company collage art...
The journaling was done on thin strips and then matted to make then stand out against the background paper...which i love by the way! Other details include a South African postage stamp, staples, Jenni Bowlin stickers, flat backed pearls and diamante...
hope you feel inspired. head on over to scrap and stamp Saturday to find some more inspiring layouts.

perfect pearl cards.

these are the remaining cards from the recent perfect pearls class at sweet scrappins in Pretoria.
This first cards we used perfect pearls t paint with. The pearls are mixed with Gum Arabic and water to give you different effects. The orchid stamp is a discontinued one from PSX (Personal Stamp Exchange...i wish they were still around)

I really love the effect of painting with pearls...

This second technique is one done on glossy paper and my own creation/development...
I love the effects you can achieve!

perfect pearls and embossing...the perfect combination

another favourite stamp from Stampington...

Perfect pearls used with Versamark ink on black card stock...
love the 7Gypsies paper on the background

a new technique using Distress inks and Perfect pearls together...love the outcome of this one too

this is the simplest one...colour your white card stock background with two or three different colours of perfect pearls and then over stamp that with an image in black

let me know what you think...or book your class to come and join in the fun!
