sketch 256 - scrapbookchallenges.

it's Monday and time for another wonderful sketch inspiration by our very own Sookie! the original single page sketch is so versatile and can be interpreted literally in a million different ways. i love it when i am totally inspired by a sketch and can make it my own - really my own. and that is what i did - i made a layout that i love and felt totally comfortable with. so to see the original sketch as well as the wonderful inspirational layouts by the other design team members visit scrapbook challenges here. i turned a single page into a double page (and broke a couple of rules along the way - by only using a single photo - gasp!)...
and here are some close-up details of the layout...
some stunning rub-ons by kaisercraft were the only decorative elements required along with a stunning array of patterned papers.
sewing around the patterned papers makes a beautiful statement adding texture and colour.
paint literally thrown onto the white background directly from the paint bottle - and yes it does take a while to dry but the end result is so worth it!
thought for the day: white space is a good thing...:-)
hope you have a wonderful creative week! thanks for popping in - you are appreciated!
